Easy steps to selling your collection

Our service

What We Buy

SMW centres its buying on the most revered and highly sought after wines from the world’s finest regions. In order to offer the most competitive and transparent prices in the market, we only concentrate on a small percentage of fine wines produced globally.

Our main focus revolves primarily around the great growing regions of Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and Italy, but also some New World regions. These wines are typically the most frequently traded and offer the best liquidity.

Get in touch with your wines via the submission form below and we will come back to you with a price for your wine(s) if they are in our area of interest.

THE EASY THREE STEP BUYING PROCESS

Once we have sent our buy price(s) and you are happy to proceed with a sale, we start our very simple buying process as detailed in the three easy steps below:

  1. Return our confirmation email stating you agree to our T&C's and to supply SMW with the wines agreed.

  2. We will ask you to transfer the wine(s) immediately to our nominated storage bond account, or we may arrange for them to be collected by an international shipper directly from your warehouse provider.

  3. Once we have inspected the wines and confirmed all is correct, we will pay you the same day by electronic bank transfer.

Register as a buyer

If you are a collector, fund, trade buyer or syndicate then we would be interested to hear from you. In most instances, we already have existing arbitrage agreements in place for specific wines with buyers who have registered with us. Please click the contact button below to send through your details and we would be happy to discuss how we can potentially supply wines to your organisation.

what We don’t do

We do not list a large inventory of wine online for sale. We are not a traditional wine merchant, broker or auction site who offers a broad inventory of stock. What listings we show are remaining unsold cases from portfolios that we have committed to and are yet to find the right buyer. All stock listed is 100% owned and controlled by SMW.

We do not speculate on wines, nor do we offer portfolio management or wine investment advice. On the contrary, we only look to provide stockholders with liquidity for their surplus fine wine stocks in instances where collectors may have decided their inventory has grown to more than they will consume, their drinking tastes have changed or the price of the wine has reached a certain point and they wish to exit.
